Reassuring pain

Sometimes pain is hateful. Sharp, like a needle or a peice of ice.

Fire in your leg

Knots in your arm

Knives in your back

Sometimes it’s reassuring though

An old friend who has

Come to visit

You don’t like her

You don’t hate her

She brings some sweets and a bottle of wine

They aren’t the kind you like

But then she’s and old friend

You have known her for so long

You’re not really sure how you met

At a party or at the vets?

She has one of those cats

black as the ace of clubs

Down the early morning due

Hits your grass outside

You remember she stayed the night on your couch

You both got rascally drunk and ate to much

She’s sleeping their in short denim shorts

A top that reveals more cleavage than it hides

Black odd squiggly tattoos

A necklace that’s full of black beads

Cheep but also pretty

Her dark black hair drapes down

Those bloody big earnings with the triangles

You know she will wake soon

Maybe you will still be friends and you make her breakfast

Or she’ll just get up and go to work

She’s reassuring though

Right now

She helped reminds you

Your alive still

Somehow

It’s always going to be like this

But in a way

You don’t mind

She who stands no taller…

Giving in your life
For the moment of dice
You don’t know what you’ve gotten.

If you know what you listen to in the story in the head
you gotta see that the hands are turning the clock, you will listen.

The glock in my hands, is just for protection
You know I live for adventure

Its just a bullet in a one shot man
I can’t take the rule
That you have to use it soon
And I never knew about the ticking

If you don’t understand just rest your sorry little head
To the sound of the footprints in the sand

Its for she who stands no taller than the grass seeds
It a song that never repeats
It hard line policy
We live by what we have
We live by what we have
We live by what we have
We live by what we…

In the corner of the room, you sit waiting for him.
The war had ended years ago but still you sit at that window.
She made you a widow, she will never come back, just give up now.
I know its hard to use that knife, but you will see it becomes much easier.
It doesn’t matter that the war has ended, your still a causality in my eyes.
I speak of this so that you know I will wait, but come to me now, and the pain will end.

Its for she who stands no taller than the grass seeds
It a song that never repeats
It hard line policy
We live by what we hate
We live by what we hate
We live by what we hate
We live by what we…

A duck on the lakeside, in the corner of your eye
it sit there wondering about food as the world ignores its general presence
It only exists to you, just look at it,
its nothing more complicated than a billion trillion atoms,
its not worth the sot that it just ate.
It doesn’t matter that the war has ended, your still a causality in my eyes.
I speak of this so that you know I will wait, but come to me now, and the pain will end.

Its for she who stands no taller than the grass seeds
It a song that never repeats
It hard line policy
We live by what we know
We live by what we know
We live by what we know
We live by what we…

In a word it can end
at the sound of a sigh
in the lights passing breach
escape to the lights and see what I mean
its not what you think
is a decoy fodder that you
have no hope of reaching
the machine gun loads
take a shot
your just as dead as the other ones

Its for she who stands no taller than the grass seeds
It a song that never repeats
It hard line policy
We live by what we love
We live by what we love
We live by what we love
We live by what we…

we have the pain
we hate the duck
we love the gun
we hate the sun
we love the fun
it was all good while it lasted
I didn’t think it could move like that
Its not as easy as you think
I didn’t mean it to be like that
I was really drunk at the time
No-one knows what you meant, but I listened
Its for she who stands no taller than the grass seeds..

Grey concrete

The grounds of the places

Walking lonely like a lost little sole

Unsure of myself and others

I’m a wanderer really

Lost in this great grey game

Bricks and metals cold and icy rain

Grey trees, bear leaf

I’m not in grief

Implying I have lost

How can you loose what your never sure you had

The past is a dream

Concrete

Gray and lonely, slowly slowly going mad

Then that hate

Red and stright

First and fists

Down and smelt

The fire won’t start

I’m given a chance

I pick up a bit of your broken pieces

I’m armed

Fighting for my life

Then escape

Grey concrete, never seemed so full of color

Dress

Smiling at how far I have come

Watching the swish of the dress I have on

Feeling the breeze and the fabric

Feeling the woman I am inside, outside

Seeing those who look

Hearing those who comment

The new dress is a blessing

Don’t need any more guessing

Flowers and blue

And brand new shoes

Red dress

Red again
This time a dress
Imagine yourself in it
Feeling the cloth
Every bit of your skin tingles with delight
Your feeling freer than ever
Not a illusion, the mirror gives you
Your acutely you.
No one else
No one is telling you otherwise
It’s your day
You start to walk
It’s a lovely morning to be a woman
One day
